We know your email address. That's it.

The page you subscribed from (so we know which bit of the site is working) and the time you did it.

Standard server logs: IP address, browser type and the pages you loaded. These are used for security and to keep the site running, and are deleted after 30 days.

We send you one email a week, on Thursdays, containing that week's boat deals. That is the entire purpose of collecting your address.

We may occasionally send a one-off service notice, for example if the newsletter is moving day or we've made an error in an issue. We don't send 'we miss you' emails, surveys or promotions for other products.

We don't sell, rent, trade or share your email address with retailers, advertisers or anyone else.

We don't build a profile of you or track which deals you click for advertising purposes. Links in the newsletter may carry an affiliate tag that identifies BoatDeals as the referrer to the retailer, not you.

Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also use the Unsubscribe page on this site. Either way you're removed immediately and we don't email you again to ask why.

If you'd like your address deleted from our records entirely rather than marked unsubscribed, email us and we'll do it within 7 days.

Subscriber records are stored with our database and email delivery providers, who may host data outside Australia. We choose providers that meet or exceed the requirements of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Spam Act 2003.

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, it will be privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics and we'll say so here.
